GOLDEN TRIANGLE OF THE EAST TOUR

After early breakfast proceed to Cherrapunjee for sightseeing. Visit the gorgeous Seven Sisters falls , Mawsmai cave & Thangkharang Park and Noh Kalikai falls. Enroute Elephant falls where you can enjoy the beauty of the waterfalls and also at Mawkdok where you can test yourself with Zip lining from across the green canyons of Cherrapunjee (Nominal fees will be charged for such activities to be paid directly to the activity management). Overnight stay in Sohra.

After breakfast, start for a tour to the Cleanest village in Asia- Mawlynnong. Enroute, visit Dawki, Umngot river and the international border between India and Bangladesh. Also visit the living rtoot bridge and the Riwai village.
Evening return to Shillong for overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive to Nameri National Park (283 kms / 06 hrs) - The park consists of deciduous forests, hills and the river Jia Bhoroli flows through it. The rich wildlife includes Tiger, Black bear, Elephant, Leopard, Clouded Leopard, Indian Bison, Pangolin, Indian wild Dog, Deer, Civet Cat, Capped Langur, Jackals etc. Evening at leisure. Over night stay at Eco-camp.

Early in the morning go for an exclusive River Rafting on Jia Bhorali River (smooth water rafting). After lunch drive to DIRANG (164 kms / 05 hrs). En-route we encounter pine-clad hills. Visit the 9th century fortress and the adjoining village. Check in at your hotel. Overnight stay in Dirang.

Today we will drive to Tawang (140kms/6hrs). On way experience the beauty of Sella Lake in Sella Pass (13746ft), Jaswantgarh – located 16kms from Sella Pass is a memorial to the brave soldiers who single handedly tried to get hold of the approaching Chinese army during the Chinese aggression in 1962. Evening explore Tawang town.

Explore Tawang – Tawang Monastery, Unni-Gompa (Women Monastery), Urrigilling (the birth place of 6th Dalai Lama) and scenic drive to PTsho Lake which is close to the Indo-Chinese border. Evening back to Tawang.

After breakfast, we will drive to Bomdila (181 kms / 07 hrs), en route visit & enjoy beautiful Jang Falls, evening at leisure.

Drive to Tezpur (165 kms / 06 hrs) - the beautiful historical town of Tezpur is well known for its ancient temples and ruins. Evening visit Chitralekha Uddyan - houses the finest specimen of sculptural remains of 9th century and the Tippi Orchid Research Center, the premier research centre for orchids in the world and largest of its kind in Asia..

After breakfast drive to Guwahati airport for onward destination.
